We are fasting as an opportunity to eliminate distractions, barriers, and anything that consumes our time with the lord and center our focus on hearing what God has for us at Family Life. January 11th through the 31st, we're inviting our church body and guests to engage in any fast of their choice and pray daily with us at Family Life.
What is a Fast?
To voluntarily reduce or eliminate your intake of food for a specific time and purpose.
Why Do We Fast?
To shift our focus completely 100% on God instead of fulfilling our fleshly desires.
NEED A PRAYER PARTNER?
TYPES OF FAST
1. Daily Fast 21 Days
Eating nothing during day hours( 6:00 am- 6:00 pm), but ending every day with a light meal.
2. Daniel/ Partial Fast
Eating only fruit and vegetables and drinking only water for 21 Days. Vegetarian Substitutions are welcomed and encouraged.
3. A Non- Food Fast
-Overuse of Social Media
-Limit Or Eliminate Secular Music Intake
-Limit or Eliminate Streaming Services, Online Content ( Netflix, Youtube, Cable)
- Snacks or Drinks with high sugar and sodium levels ( Soda, Candy, Chips, Fast Food)
